2019 Erie Chapter PA Winners

The Erie Chapter of the Pennsylvania Society of Professional Engineers held its 2019 MATHCOUNTS competition at Gannon University on February 23rd. Seven students, all 8th graders, and their coaches, including both individual winners and the top team, advance to the state meet in Harrisburg on March 15th/16th. The Erie Chapter of the Pennsylvania Society of Professional Engineers held its 2018 MATHCOUNTS competition at Gannon University on February 24. Six students and their coaches, including both individual winners and the top team, advance to the state meet in Harrisburg on March 23-24. . The Erie Chapter of the Pennsylvania Society of Professional Engineers held its 2017 MATHCOUNTS competition at Gannon University on February 25. Six students and their coaches, including both individual winners and the top team, advance to the state meet in Harrisburg on March 11-12. Pictured from left to right in the front row are Aaron Fan, an 8th grade student at Walnut Creek Middle School who won the third place individual award, the four-member first place team from James S. Wilson Middle School consisting of Alex Liu, 6th grade (also the second place individual), Sharon Liu, 8th grade (fourth place individual), Matt Su, 8th grade (sixth place individual), and Sabastian Zhao, 8th grade (first place individual), as well as Tyler Hansen, an 8th grade student from North East Middle School (fifth place individual).
